Slow day for Leverock and MCC

Restricted: Leverock went wicketless in his ten overs at Liverpool

Kamau Leverock was restricted to bowling ten overs on the first day of MCC Combined Universities game against Lancashire second XI.

The Bermuda all-rounder conceded 52 runs without taking a wicket on a low and slow pitch that was more conducive to spin than pace, on the first day of their Second XI Championship match.

Batting first, Lancashire made 347 for 8 declared in 94 overs, with Liam Livingstone top scoring with 89, and Ash Gowers, the wicketkeeper, unbeaten on 83.
