Two hurt in Harbour Road crash

Two tourists, a man and woman aged 61 and 56 respectively, were injured on Harbour Road near Red Hole after their rental cycle collided with a van at about 1.20pm yesterday.

According to Police both were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, while both vehicles were damaged. A relative of the couple, a 54-year-old man who was also riding a rental cycle, fainted at the scene and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

This morning, the woman was said to be recovering on a general ward; the 61-year-old man has been released from hospital.

Additionally, a man has been discharged from hospital after being injured on Tuesday night.

The man’s car struck a Cablevision truck at the junction of North Shore Road and Harlem Heights Road in Hamilton Parish.
