Bank of Butterfield shares dropped two cents to $1.68 on The Royal Gazette/BSX.

The 1.2 per drop came after 34,714 shares in the bank changed hands.

Shares in insurance firm Argus were unchanged at $3.99 after 1,300 shares were exchanged.

And utilities firm Ascendant, the parent of electricity firm Belco, was also unchanged, at $5.05 after 1,000 shares traded.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed down 8.96 points (0.74 per cent) at 1,208.12.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 11.04 points (0.68 per cent) at 1,609.72.
