St Philip AME Church hosts dinner cruise

Today

St Philip AME Church will host a sunset dinner cruise on board the MV Elizabeth. It leaves from Albuoy’s Point at 7pm and returns at 10pm. Admission is $50 for adults and $20 for children under 12. Tickets are available from The Pro Shop or by calling 293-0882 or 236-3073.

Women Aglow Int will host a fellowship worship service at Astwood Hall, Church Street, Hamilton. The meeting begins at 9.45am.

It will be led by speaker Sister Jane Berry from the UK, who will be speaking on the theme of Expectation. For more information contact Brenda Webb on 293-0955.

Tomorrow

Breath of Life Ministries will be celebrating its ninth Pastoral/Church anniversary at 10am and 4pm at the Willowbank Conference Centre. The guest speaker will be Chief Apostle Archbishop Michael Hope of Florida.

Local Christian denominations will honour “Sea Sunday” with a special service at Mariners Club (located at 22 Richmond Road, Pembroke) at 12.45pm. On this day, churches around the world hold services and prayers for seafarers whose jobs take them away from their families and put them at risk of danger, loneliness and stress.

Thursday, July 16

Allen Temple Senior Choir is hosting a 7.30pm concert featuring The Lowcountry Voices of Charleston, a choir from South Carolina. The performance will include hymns, traditional and contemporary gospel, traditional and arranged spirituals and jazz. They group recently performed before US president Barack Obama at the funeral of Clementa Pinckney, the slain minister of Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston. Donations will be accepted at the event, which takes pace at the Temple Lane, Sandys church.

Friday, July 17

Jehovah’s Witnesses three-day conference starts today at 9.20am. It takes place at Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts and will look at the keys to family happiness and the necessary resources to build stronger, more united families. The event is free, however, donations are accepted.

Sunday, July 26

Emmanuel Methodist Church (located on Middle Road, Southampton) invites you to their Cup Match family service at 10am. The guest speaker will be Brother Clarence Dill.
