Tonight

Kick off your holiday with the help of world-renowned electronic music group Major Lazer.

The group is known for fusing everything from reggae and dancehall with EDM, and will headline Cup Match Summer Splash in Par-la-Ville parking lot. Organised by 441 Productions and Veterans in Action, special guests including Skratch Bastid and Tarantula of Poison Dart will take the stage starting at 8pm. Tickets, $85, are available at bdatix.bm.

Tomorrow

Planning a long day at the field or on the beach? Chewstick has arranged a cool line-up of local artists to entertain you through the night at No 1 car park. Reggae artist Mishka, singer Hannah Eggen, and local saxophonist Gianluca Gibbons along with his California-based band HTG will take the stage from 10pm. Concert tickets, $60 to $100, are available online at www.ptix.bm.

Friday

There’s a few choices for what to do after the game:

Soca Versus Reggae will kick off at Tiger Bay in St George’s at 9pm. Gyptian and King Jyrus Sound System will represent the reggae corner while the soca side will be held up by 5Star Akil, Shal Marshall, D’General, DJ Rusty G, and Giselle D Wassi One. Tickets, $65, are available at www.bdatix.bm.

Head a little further East for Elephant and Smirnoff’s Cup Match Fever Afterparty at St David’s Cricket Club parking lot.

Local and international DJs will perform live, starting at 8pm. Advance tickets are $30 or $50 for VIPs (food, two free drinks and access to a private bar).

Buy them online at www.BDAtix.bm, or call 707-2109 or 336-8153.

Saturday

Keep the momentum going with a visit to Twin Starr’s Red Light Special Birthday Bashment in Docksiders Back Room at 10pm. A host of local DJs will be spinning throughout the night; there will also be giveaways on offer. Admission is $20 or $10 for Leos.

Sunday

No boat to get you to the Non Mariner’s Day? No problem. Sandys Boat Club has a host of activities on offer for such folks. Starting just before noon, there will be a noodle race, a calypso pipe band and other treats. MC for the 42nd Annual Non-Mariners Race will be Bruce Barritt. Call 234-2248 or e-mail sbc@logic.bm.
