A total of 6,380 shares worth $64,129 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Investment holding company Somers Ltd, which owns the Bermuda Commercial Bank, saw 4,500 shares move, leaving its price unchanged at $13.50.

And 1,880 shares in the Bank of Butterfield changed hands with its price up five cents (2.9 per cent) at $13.50.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed up 22.40 points (1.8 per cent) at 1,266.04.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 4.56 points (0.28 per cent) at 1,636.26.
