October Lights to illuminate Harbour Nights

October Lights will add a touch of magic to Harbour Nights this autumn, the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce announced today.

This “magical version” of Harbour Nights will feature light related activities every Wednesday night on Front Street in October.

Kendaree Burgess, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce, said in a statement: “Traditionally the streets of Hamilton go quiet after September.

“October Lights is a way to re-energise the city and provide additional entertainment for visitors and locals alike.

“October Lights will feature illuminated vendor booths, light shows such as fire dancing and glow-in-the-dark paraphernalia.”

Ms Burgess said the Chamber was looking for a way to maximise member involvement around the two major events taking place this October – the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series and the Bermuda Tattoo.

Marketing and event coordinator Stephanie Lee added: “October Lights is another opportunity for vendors and businesses to showcase themselves and restaurants to introduce a new fall and light inspired competition.

“We encourage residents to come out and take in the festivities.”
