A total of 128,962 shares in the Bank of Butterfield traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The deal saw the bank’s shares fall six cents (3.3 per cent) to $1.74.

Insurance company BF&M saw 7,000 of its shares changes hands, leaving its price unchanged at $17.20.

The Royal Gazette/BSX ended the day down 30.90 points (2.44 per cent) at 1234.37.

The BSX Insurance Index closed down 3.67 points (0.22 per cent) at 1,643.75.
