A Jamaican national has denied knowingly accessing child pornography on six different occasions.

Appearing in Magistrates’ Court this morning, the 46-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charges, which allege that the offences took place between September 21, 2013, and August 20, last year.

The Hamilton Parish resident, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of accessing videos depicting explicit sexual activity between an adult male and a female child, a female child and a male child, and a male child with a goat.

He is also accused of three counts of accessing videos depicting a male child engaged in explicit sexual activity with a chicken.

The defendant elected to be tried in Magistrates’ Court and a trial date was set for October 26.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo granted the accused $10,000 bail with a like surety on the condition that he surrender his travel documents and report to Police once a week.
