A total of 50,000 shares in financial services holding company Somers Ltd changed hands on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The trade was worth $622,500 and it left Somers, which controls the Bermuda Commercial Bank, down 25 cents (1.9 per cent) at $13.25.

The index ended the day down 1.65 points (0.13 per cent) at 1,237.19.

The BSX Insurance Index closed up 3.64 points (0.22 per cent) at 1,644.02.
