Students at Saltus Grammar School are celebrating after achieving a 100 per cent pass rate in IGCSE results.

The school announced 28 per cent of students received five or more A/A* grades, including three students from grades 6, 7 and 9: pupils aged 11, 13 and 15. Overall, the examinations were taken by 103 students.

Megan Zimmerer led the way for her cohort, sitting nine IGCSE examinations, all of which she passed at A*.

Alexandra Barnes achieved seven A* and two A grades; Casey Schuler and Christian Oatley were awarded five A* and four A grades.

Saltus Head of School, Ted Staunton, said in a statement yesterday: “Once again, we are delighted with the IGCSE examination results.

They represent the culmination of the hard work of our students and teachers and their efforts have been rewarded with these outstanding results.

“I congratulate the students and I would also like to thank the faculty and parents for their hard work, dedication and support.”

Other noteworthy IGCSE results include: Tristan Narraway, four A*, four As, two Bs; Amy Palmer, three A*, five As and one B; Johndell Cumberbatch and Alfred “Trey” Maybury, three A*, four As and two Bs; Julianna Freidman three A*, three As, two Bs and one C; Jordan Morris one A*, six As, one B and one C; Mikayla DeSilva-Jacome one A*, four As and 5 Bs; Nicole Kansakar six As and three Bs; and Raven Duffy six As two Bs and two Cs.

Mr Staunton added: “We are incredibly proud of all of our students’ achievements and we look forward to them building upon this success as they enter the Saltus Graduate Years (SGY) programme.

“We welcome students at every grade level and recognise that those joining us from North America in the IGCSE years may initially find the curriculum challenging, but through hard work they are able to achieve good grades in their final years for acceptance into strong universities.”

The press release added that Saltus also recently celebrated outstanding Advanced Placement (AP) results: of the 53 students taking AP, 20 achieved AP Scholar designation (granted to students who receive scores of three or higher on three or more AP Exams), with four qualifying as AP National Scholars.

Daniel Oatley and Nicholas Pell averaged a score of 4.67 out of a possible five in their Advanced Placement examinations, one of the largest high-level school examinations in the world.

Both are headed to top universities in the UK. Overall, 98 per cent of the graduating class is heading for university.
