Shares of insurance company BF&M improved in value by 79 cents (4.7 per cent) to close at $17.50 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The stock was the only one to trade as 900 shares, worth a total of $15,550, changed hands.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed 5.93 points higher (0.49 per cent) at 1,213.88, while the BSX Insurance Index was 15.17 points higher (0.96 per cent) at 1,602.66.
