Warwick Academy held their secondary school swim meet on Tuesday under bright blue skies. It was hard to believe just two days earlier the Island was being battered by a hurricane.

The students came out in wonderful, full-volume school spirit that took sportsmanship to another level.

It was a tremendous display of sportsmanship, with huge kudos going to all swimmers who took to the pool in effort for their houses.

Warwick is extremely lucky and blessed to have some of the Island’s top swimmers.

When you have the likes of Jesse Washington, Maddie Moore, Emma Harvey and Shannon Hassell, the pool is going to explode — and explode it did.

Swimming does not get much better than that.

The cheering was deafening at times, everyone cheering no matter if the swimmers were first or bringing up the rear.

It was very close with Rhodes and Robertson being neck-and-neck for most of the day. However, the relays were the deciding factor as they count for double points and when you have Jesse, Maddie and Emma all on Rhodes ... well you know the rest of the story.

Rhodes won with 216, Robertson won with 189, Patton with 163 and Morgan with 150.
