KFC to help raise money for Red Cross

KFC on Queen Street

KFC has joined forces with the Bermuda Red Cross this month to help raise money for the charity.

The eatery is now offering customers $1 treat voucher booklets, each of which contain five vouchers that children can exchange for a cookie, an apple turnover or an order of fries.

Every dollar raised through the sale of the vouchers will be donated to the Bermuda Red Cross in order to help them continue operating their various programmes across the Island.

Vice president of KFC operations Jason Benevides said: “Seasonal treat vouchers in support of charities are a regular and popular annual offering by some well-known North American restaurants.

“We thought it was time to bring this popular concept to Bermuda and offer a fresh option to consumers, while still raising some much needed funds for charity.

“Raising charitable funds is a challenge these days. However, it gets a little easier when donors receive something of value for their contributions.”

The vouchers do have some conditions however — one voucher can be redeemed by any child 12 or under on each visit to the restaurant, and the vouchers are valid between the start of November and the end of January.
