BSX gains 3.3% for week

BSX: Four stocks gained in a positive week of trading

Two local companies posted double-digit percentage gains in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading last week.

Real estate developer West Hamilton Holdings Ltd was the biggest climber, advancing $1.85, or 36.6 per cent, to $6.90 as 300 of its shares traded.

Telecommunications group KeyTech Ltd surged 45 cents, or 12.7 per cent, to close on $4 as 10,000 of its shares changed hands. KeyTech last month announced its intention to sell a controlling interest to US firm Atlantic Tele-Network.

Butterfield Bank also had a positive trading week, gaining seven cents, or 3.9 per cent, to close on $1.85, as 8,000 of its shares traded.

Argus Group was the most heavily traded stock and the insurer advanced 14 cents, or 3.7 per cent to close on $3.95 as 48,900 shares were exchanged.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 2.14 points, or 3.27 per cent for the week, to close on 1,288.33.
