Man denies throwing knife at father

A Southampton man appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning to deny a charge of wounding his father.

Leigh Swann, 31, pleaded not guilty to the offence, which allegedly took place on November 5.

Prosecutors allege that Mr Swann threw a kitchen knife at his father, causing a small cut to his thigh.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe released Mr Swann on $3,000 bail with a like surety, ordering that he avoid contact with the complainant and return to the courts in January for trial.
