Butterfield shares higher

A total of 17,257 shares worth $84,977.60 yesterday traded on the The Royal Gazette/BSX.

Insurance firm BF&M dropped 25 cents (0.25 per cent) to $17 after 300 shares traded.

The Bank of Butterfield was up four cents (2.2 per cent) after 1,557 shares changed hands.

And utilities firm Ascendant Group remained unchanged at $5 following the movement of 15,400 shares.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed up 15.77 points (1.25 per cent) at 1,282.58. The BSX was closed today in observance of the Remembrance Day holiday.

The BSX Insurance Index ended up 9.49 points (0.58 per cent) at 1,639.22 on Tuesday.
