Thrill of City Hall performance

Hitting the high notes: Harrington Sound Primary students with Hamilton's town crier Ed Christopher at City Hall as they celebrate the Pride song competition

“No, No No Don’t do Drugs”

This is the title of the song we created with our teachers for the Pride song competition. We did not win but we performed our song for a huge audience on the steps of City Hall last week.

Ed Christopher, the town crier, greeted us and made us feel very special.

I have learnt a lot about what happens to your body when you use drugs. I feel sad when I see people on the street who are not well because they have taken drugs. I hope I can help people when I am older. In the future I am going to hold fundraisers to provide better care to improve people’s health.

We hope other children will listen to our song and persuade them not to take drugs.
