A total of 5,200 Bank of Butterfield shares worth $9,984 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX.

The move was the only one of the day and pushed the bank’s price down seven cents (3.5 per cent) to $1.92.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed down 30.89 points (2.34 per cent) at 1,291.37.

The BSX Insurance Index closed down 11.93 points (0.74 per cent) at 1,660.43.
