Friday, December 4

Chapel-of-Ease St David’s will hold its annual Christmas bazaar at Clair Spencer Hall, St Peter’s Church from 9am to 3pm. There will be lunches, bake goods, handicrafts and books, as well as a white-elephant sale. For more information call 297-1217

Evangelical Church will host a ladies’ Christmas tea from 7pm until 9pm. There will be a variety of desserts, tea and coffee as well as a special message by Patti Fischer. Tickets are $15.

Saturday, December 5

Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church will host a pre-Christmas table sale from 9am to 4pm in Astwood Hall (the pink church on the corner of Church & Court Streets across from the drive-in bank). There will be a huge variety of baked goods and gifts on sale. Refreshments will be on sale all day.

Vernon Temple AME Church’s Sarah Allen Missionary Society will host the Somerset Brigade Band Christmas Concert featuring Malinda Jennings, at 7.30pm. Tickets, $20 for general admission and $35 for patrons, are available from Missionary Society Members or the church office. For more information telephone 238-1178.

St James Parish Church, in partnership with St Michael’s Chapel, will hold a Christmas fair from 10am until 4pm on Sandys Rectory grounds (near Somerset Bridge). The Somerset Brigade Band will perform and a Christmas raffle, crafts, vegetable and plant sale, Bingo and baked goods will all be on offer.

Marsden First United Methodist Church presents Lift Him up with Joy, a gospel concert beginning at 7pm. Marsden’s Praise Team and Combined Choir, Toni Robinson and Paul Smith are among the performers. Emcees will be Nikita Robinson and Leroy Simmons. The First Church of God Music and Performing Arts Ministry presents Return of the Wiseguys, an evening of Christmas music, poetry, dance, sign language interpretation and drama. The event will take place in the Chapel of the Anointing at 6.30pm. A free-will offering will be taken.

Thursday, December 10

Grace Methodist Church will host a Christmas concert with various musical performances starting at 7.30pm. There will be no charge, however a free-will offering will be taken. The church is located at 167 North Shore Road.

Saturday, December12

Women Aglow Int will host a fellowship worship service at Astwood Hall, located on Church Street, Hamilton at 9.45am. Rev Dr W Eugene Joell, a member of Heritage Worship Centre, will be the guest speaker. The theme for this event is “Expectation”, based on a passage in Psalm 62:5b: “For our expectation is from the Lord”. Light refreshments will be served. Richard Allen AME will host an Evening of Elegance, starting at 6.30pm. It will include a three-course dinner, as well as entertainment and great Christian fellowship. Tickets, $60, are available at the church office. For more information call 297-2311.
