Fresh appeal for information about murders

Detectives investigating two recent murders in Southampton have made a fresh appeal for anyone with any information about the deaths to come forward.

No one has been charged with killing Dejion Stange-Simmons, who was found dead in a property on November 26, or Rickai Swan, who was shot dead outside Southampton Rangers Sports Club on October 23.

A 25-year-old man was initially arrested in connection with Mr Stange-Simmons’s death, however he has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

No arrests have been made in relation to the fatal shooting of Mr Swan, 26, who was murdered as he left the Southampton club at about 10.40pm.

A police spokesman told The Royal Gazette: “The 25-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of Dejion Stange-Simmons has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

“No arrests have been made to date in connection with the murder of Rickai Swan outside Southampton Rangers Sports Club.

“Detectives continue to encourage witnesses or anyone with information regarding either incident to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 247 1739 or the anonymous and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline, 800 8477.”
