Three shares fall as BSX loses ground

Three stocks ended the week lower, and one was higher, on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Butterfield Bank was down five cents (2.5 per cent) at $1.95 after 36,124 shares were traded, while HSBC Holdings’ shares lost 55 cents (6.79 per cent) to close at $7.55 after 183 changed hands.

Also falling in value were shares of Argus Group, down three cents (0.8 per cent) at $3.95 after 12,000 shares traded.

BF&M shares ended the week higher, gaining 19 cents (1.1 per cent) to close at $17.19 after 800 were exchanged.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed at 1,313.24, down 21.22 points (1.61 per cent) on the week. The BSX Insurance Index also finished lower, losing 19.03 points (1.16 per cent) to close at 1,618.07.
