A total of 2,000 shares worth $8,080 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index on the last day of the year.

Insurance firm Argus, the sole mover, was up nine cents (2.27 per cent) at $4.04 after 2,000 shares moved.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed up 1.77 points (0.14 per cent) at 1,304.06.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day at 1,671.45, down 13.83 points (0.82 per cent).
