Members of the Garden Club of Bermuda are co-ordinating a clean-up event with Keep Bermuda Beautiful ahead of the Bermuda Marathon Weekend.

The members will be clearing litter from race areas, with a focus on Palmetto Road and North Shore.

The garden club’s Susan Black said: “We did a similar clean-up last year and it was felt that given the large crowds of people along the route and the number of participants, it would be beneficial to make the areas as litter free as possible and an example of what can be accomplished with a small concerned group of individuals.”
