Senior robbed in North Hill

A 65-year-old man was forced to the ground and robbed in the early hours of Saturday at he approached his home in the area of North Hill, Pembroke.

According to police, officers responded at about 3.45am on Saturday. The victim reported being seized from behind by an unknown male suspect who forced him to the ground and demanded cash.

The suspect then took an unknown quantity of money and personal items before making good his escape.

The assailant was described as being a black male, approximately 5ft 8in to 6ft in height, wearing a dark hooded jacket and dark blue jeans and speaking with a Bermudian accent.

An investigation has been launched and police are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to call the Criminal Investigation Unit on 247-1744 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
