More than 250 Belco customers lost power due to high winds this afternoon.

At 2pm, the company said 230 customers had lost power in the Pitts Bay Road area of Pembroke, a further 25 in St Anne’s Road in Southampton and two more in Smith’s.

The lights were restored at Pitts Bay shortly after 3pm, followed by St Anne’s Road. Crews remain ready to respond as the blustery weather gradually trails off this evening.
