The Royal Gazette/BSX Index today closed down 4.41 points (0.36 per cent) at 1,220.18.

The Bank of Butterfield was down one cent (0.6 per cent) at $1.75 after 5,100 shares moved.

The bank’s preference shares fell $8 (0.7 per cent) to 1,102 after 148 of them changed hands.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 11.41 points (0.71 per cent) at 1,606.66.
