A teenager denied charges of wounding and possessing an offensive weapon — namely scissors — during a court appearance this morning.

Meshach Crichton, 17, pleaded not guilty to both charges, which were said to have occurred in Warwick on February 3.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo released Mr Crichton on $4,000 bail with a like surety, ordering that he avoid all contact with the complainant.

The matter is set to return to the court for trial on April 15.
