A trio of talented pooches from the Bermuda Kennel Club are heading to the world’s largest dog show in Britain next month.

After qualifying through the 2015 Bermuda Dog Shows, the candidates will represent the island at the 125th annual Crufts, taking place from March 10 to 13 at the NEC exhibition centre in Birmingham.

Once there, they will compete against 22,000 other dogs for the Best in Show award.

The competing canines are: a papillon named Fantasys Que Sera Sera Chi Chi, owned by Gerald MacLellan and shown by his wife Lynne MacLellan, a Bermuda champion papillon named Denzel Divine Madness, co-owned by Michael deFontes and Tracy Burdick, and a Bermuda champion keeshond named Musical Kees Pavrotti, owned and bred by Janice Moran.

Carole Havercroft, president of the Bermuda Kennel Club, said: “About 15 people from Bermuda will be attending Crufts as supporters and to enjoy the huge number of dog-related events and vendors.

“It’s an exciting show and we wish the dogs, their owners and the handlers the very best as they compete for the world’s most coveted title in dog showing.”
