Butterfield shares rise 3.7%

Bank of Butterfield shares improved by six cents
The Bank of Butterfield rose six cents on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
The uptick came after 2,214 shares traded, lifting the bank to $1.70, a 3.7 per cent rise.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 26.98 points, or 2.27 per cent, at 1,215.10.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 7.93 points, or 0.47 per cent, at 1,685.73.
