Somers shares climb 5.7%

Somers Ltd was the only domestic-board stock to trade on the BSX

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index yesterday closed up 4.99 points, or 0.41 per cent, at 1,211.87.

The only trading of the day was 200 shares in Somers Ltd, parent company of Bermuda Commercial Bank, which left the company’s price up 75 cents, or 5.7 per cent, at $13.75.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 0.47 points, or 0.03 per cent, at 1,661.67.
