The Royal Gazette/BSX Index today rose 4.88 points, or 0.39 per cent, to 1,253.77.

Insurance firm BF&M went up 5 cents to $17.15 after 150 shares traded.

And the Bank of Butterfield rose 1 cent to $1.76 after 63,100 shares changed hands.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 4.22 points, or 0.25 per cent, at 1,661.36.
