Butterfield shares climb 2.3%

The Bank of Butterfield rose 4 cents, or 2.3 per cent, to $1.80 in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today.
The move came after 11,536 of the bank’s shares changed hands.
Insurance company BF&M dropped 4 cents, or 0.2 per cent, to $17.11 after 363 shares traded.
Bank of Butterfield preference shares were unchanged at $1040 after 350 shares sold.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 17.68 points, or 1.41 per cent, at 1,271.46.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 4.95 points, or 0.30 per cent, at 1,656.41.
