More than $1.3 million worth of shares traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The biggest contributor was insurance company Argus, whose price remained at $3.90 after 328,010 shares sold.

Bank of Butterfield went up 15 cents, or 8.3 per cent, to $1.95 after 16,515 shares changed hands.

Utilities firm Ascendant remained at $5.45 after 54 shares moved.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 67.46 points, or 5.31 per cent, at 1,338.92.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 3.27 points, or 0.20 per cent, at 1,653.14.
