Butterfield shares rise 6.7%

Shares of Bank of Butterfield closed 12 cents higher
The Bank of Butterfield yesterday jumped 12 cents, or 6.7 per cent, to $1.90 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
The rise came after 18,900 shares in the bank changed hands.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 53.99 points, or 4.24 per cent, at 1,327.75.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 17.71 points, or 1.07 per cent, at 1,678.49.
