Butterfield Bank rose 15 cents to $24.90 in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today.

The move, 0.6 per cent gain, came after 22,407 shares worth more than $557,000 traded.

The bank’s price on the New York Stock Exchange was also up, by 2 cents, or 0.08 per cent, to $25.61.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index ended the day up 6.75 points or 0.42 per cent at 1,601.39.

The BSX Insurance Index closed up 7.74 points, or 0.46 per cent, at 1,689.46.
