Ascendant Group rises 4.8%

Ascendant Group shares improved by 30 cents on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index

Ascendant Group, the parent of Belco, saw its shares improve by 30 cents, or 4.8 per cent, to close at $6.50 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index. A total of 400 of the company’s shares were traded.

Argus Group dropped 59 cents, or 12.8 per cent, to $4.01 after 935 shares were exchanged, meanwhile KeyTech Ltd shares lost 15 cents, or 5.7 per cent, to $2.50 after 18,300 were traded.

HSBC Holdings’ shares edged five cents lower, or 0.66 per cent, to close at $7.50 after 568 were traded.

There was also trading of Butterfield Bank shares, with 78,492 changing hands, but with no change to the closing price of $25.10. On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield’s shares ended at $25.60, down four cents, or 0.16 per cent.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed at 1,609.74, down 10.96 points, or 0.68 per cent. The BSX Insurance Index ended the day at 1,674.13, down 27.39 points, or 1.61 per cent.
