The Bank of Butterfield rose 60 cents to $29 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The increase, equal to 2.1 per cent, came after 2,600 shares changed hands.

The bank’s price on the New York Stock Exchange also rose, up 70 cents, or 2.41 per cent, to $29.70.

On the Bermuda Stock Exchange, Telecoms firm KeyTech went up 35 cents, or 14 per cent, to $2.85 after 28,100 shares moved.

Utilities group Ascendant fell 18 cents, or 2.6 per cent, to $6.80 after 200 shares sold.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 30.06 points, or 1.63 per cent, at 1,818.91.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 1.82 points, or 0.11 per cent, at 1,695.07.
