Argus Group shares last week improved by 40 cents, or 8.8 per cent, to close at $4.95 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index. A total of 13,500 of the company’s shares traded.

Heading in the opposite direction, shares of KeyTech Ltd were down 35 cents, or 12.3 per cent, at $2.50 after 20,226 changed hands. HSBC Holdings also dropped by 20 cents, or 2.48 per cent, to $7.85 after 175 were traded.

Butterfield Bank was down 25 cents, or 0.9 per cent, at $27.75, after 15,946 shares changed hands. On the New York Stock Exchange the bank’s shares closed at $29.03, down from $29.52 the previous Friday.

Ascendant Group repurchased 710,000 of its own shares on Friday, with no change to the closing price of $6.95.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed at 1,766.32, down 8.05 points, or 0.45 per cent. The BSX Insurance Index was up 6.41 points, or 0.38 per cent, at 1,712.54.
