KeyTech shares retreat

KeyTech shares fell 32 per cent in BSX trading, giving back the large gain they recorded on Tuesday

Shares in telecoms firm KeyTech plunged by nearly a third in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today.

KeyTech dropped 95 cents, or 32.2 per cent, to $2 after 5,300 shares traded. The fall followed a 70-cent rise for KeyTech on Tuesday.

Butterfield Bank, which closed at $28.50 on Tuesday, did not trade yesterday on the BSX. On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield rose 42 cents, or 1.4 per cent, to $30.43.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed down 13.05 points, or 0.72 per cent, at 1,810.70.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 15.69 points, or 0.89 per cent, at 1,747.23.
