West Hamilton shares dip 7.5%

Flat trading: while five stocks of five companies changed hands on the BSX, only West Hamilton Holdings changed in price

West Hamilton Holdings Ltd dropped 49 cents to $6.01 in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today.

The property developer’s 7.5 per cent fall came as 2,600 shares traded.

Shares in four other firms traded — but with no change in value.

BF&M was at $20.50 after 512 shares were exchanged. Utilities company Ascendant remained at $7.50 after 156 shares traded.

One Communications closed at $2.60 as 5,000 shares changed hands.

Bermuda Press (Holdings), the parent company of The Royal Gazette, remained at $8.51 as 52 shares traded.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the Bank of Butterfield fell 24 cents, or 0.75 per cent, to $31.91.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed down 0.66 points, or 0.03 per cent, at 1,939.78.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 16.55 points, or 0.9 per cent, at 1,852.95.
