The Bank of Butterfield dropped 75 cents to $31.25 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The move, equal to 2.3 per cent, came after 1,600 shares traded.

The bank was also down on the New York Stock Exchange, losing 12 cents, or 0.38 per cent, to $31.71.

Insurance company BF&M was unchanged at $20.50 after 1,000 shares moved.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed down 33.73 points, or 1.71 per cent, at 1,934.48.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 6.64 points or 0.36 per cent, at 1,852.70.
