Insurance firm BF&M today gained 35 cents to $20.95 in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

The 1.7 per cent rise came as 500 shares changed hands.

Utilities firm Ascendant Group was static at $8.50 after 6,300 shares were traded.

The Bank of Butterfield remained at $34 after 770 shares changed hands. On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank fell 1 cent, or 0.03 per cent, to $34.65.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 2.68 points, or 0.13 per cent, at 2,075.92.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 11.68 points, or 0.62 per cent, at 1,864.48.
