Bank of Butterfield shares gained in both Bermuda and New York.

On The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, the bank was up 30 cents, or 0.9 per cent, to $33.79.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the shares improved by 48 cents, or 1.39 per cent, to $35.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 13.49 points, or 0.66 per cent, to 2,070.81.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 7.61 points, or 0.40 per cent, at 1,928.05.
