HSBC Holdings was the only stock to trade on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The bank’s shares improved by five cents, or 0.52 per cent, to $9.50 after 10,000 traded.

On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank shares were down 23 cents, or 0.69 per cent, at $32.97.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was static at 1,981.03.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 35.76 points, or 1.88 per cent, to 1,866.93.
