Shares of BF&M Ltd rose by 45 cents, or 2.7 per cent, to $17 after 2,000 were traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Somers Limited fell by 50 cents, or 3.4 per cent, to $14 after 2,200 shares were exchanged.

There was also trading in 3,541 shares of Butterfield Bank, with no impact on the closing price. However, on the New York Stock Exchange the bank’s shares were down seven cents, or 0.17 per cent, at $39.99.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 0.12 points, or 0.01 per cent, at 2,290.92.

The BSX Insurance Index climbed 27.14 points, or 1.44 per cent to 1,913.31.
