Shares of Butterfield Bank improved by 25 cents, or 0.5 per cent, at $46 after 9,680 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

On the New York Stock Exchange the bank’s shares were down 49 cents, or 1.04 per cent, at $46.60.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 11.24 points, or 0.44 per cent, at 2,581.76.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 6.3 points, or 0.33 per cent, at 1,910.94.
