Butterfield Bank shares rose 1.1 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

The bank gained 50 cents to close on $44.70 as 7,500 shares changed hands.

Butterfield’s US-listed shares registered gains in New York trading as well, climbing 60 cents, or 1.3 per cent, to close on $46.24.

Telecoms company One Communications Ltd fell 73 cents, or 25.3 per cent, to $2.16, as 8,800 of its shares were exchanged.

Property developer West Hamilton Holdings Ltd also traded, closing unchanged on $4.10 on the trading of 100 shares.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index climbed 12.46 points, or 0.5 per cent, to close on 2,515.38.
