Butterfield Bank was the only stock that traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index. A total of 8,462 shares were exchanged, but with no effect on the closing price of $38.

On the New York Stock Exchange the bank’s shares were up $1.09, or 2.88 per cent, at $38.98.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged at 2,279.65, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 32.76 points, or 2.25 per cent.
