On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank improved by 92 cents, or 2.26 per cent, to close at $41.57.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged at 2,290.71, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 2.48 points, or 0.17 per cent, at 1,498.23.
